Boondocking outside Parker, AZ December, 16,

We stayed for five days and four nights.  It was nice to be out there.  We didn’t need to be completely alone, and never were.  It’s an area set aside for dispersed camping.

Other people came and went.  It’s a lot like boats arriving at an anchorage.  We don’t each need “swing-room”, but each rig seemed to find the largest unoccupied space.  The unoccupied spaces get smaller and smaller as the afternoon goes on, but even with terrain constraints, we all stayed relatively evenly spaced.  The whole area was well-kept; no trash on the ground.  It appears that everyone appreciates the opportunity and does their best not to abuse it.

The alternative was the campground at the marina.

We’re happy with our boondocking choice.

We spent most of our time at Sue and John’s house on the river.

Sister in law Barbara, Judy, and her sister Sue.

Henry and Hatchi.

A good time was had by all.

Now we’re back in Chandler.
