This is what it looks like.  Dry.  Boring.  Unattractive.

Uninviting as the South Texas scrub might look, it’s loaded with birds, so worthwhile walks for me.

Like a Great Blue Heron

…or a Great Egret.

And there are elegant paddling birds like Northern Pintail ducks.

But what do you get when an elegant wading bird like a Reddish Egret

…thinks he’d rather be a duck?

I don’t think this look is really working for him.

Tiny bird.  Big voice.

Heard more often than seen.

About football.  Blocking, tackling, sacking, holding, interference, roughing, unnecessary roughness, encroachment, illegal hands to the face.  Players punishing players.  It’s a rough sport.  But “Illegal Touching“?  A player goes out of bounds and is the first one to touch the ball when they get back onto the playing field.  They can’t come up with a better way to call that particular foul than Illegal Touching?  That sounds more like maybe a chess player accidentally tapped the other player’s rook.  C’mon football.  Let’s step up our naming game.
