Another grueling driving day…. from Gypsum to Basalt. Twenty miles yesterday; fifty miles today. Life on the road. Back in Basalt. We’ll be here for a couple weeks. We hear the price of diesel is going up. Hard to tell from here, we last tanked up in Raton, New Mexico. Back to our campground birds. Swallows, finches, magpies, blackbirds, and waxwings. This is our reliable waxwing place. A job in Carbondale starting Monday.
