We bought a couple bottles of water to take on a bicycle ride. The label
caught my eye. It was Fiji water. On the label it said, “Bottled at the
source”. I’ve always figured all that bottled water comes from some guy
with a garden hose in Utah or New Jersey, but this brings to mind an image
of container ships filled with pallets of bottled water crossing the
Pacific. I know we can’t believe everything we read, but there are some
truth in advertising and labeling rules aren’t there? Does this mean the
guy with the garden hose is actually in Fiji? Is Fiji in New Jersey? Or
Arkansas?

Wednesday. Drove up to Rockport/Fulton in the afternoon. No purple martins
in the purple martin condos. House sparrows in the purple martin condos.
If no one takes care of the birdhouses, they just fill up with house
sparrows. Saw more rose breasted grosbeaks at Goose Island. More indigo
buntings. A semipalmated sandpiper. Lots of dunlins and red knots. Tufted
titmouse. More magnolia warblers. And some new ones. Tennessee, blackpoll,
kentucky, and hooded warblers.
