Good videoconferencing.  We’ve come a long way from early Skype.  (The empty chair is where Judy was before she joined me in front of my computer in the other room.)  There were more grandkids involved.  People came and went.

A brutal virtual travel schedule, but we’re up to the task.

 

 

Happy Birthday, Dad.  Born in 1910; 110 years ago, today.  He’s been gone a long time; 52 years; only lived to 1968.

 

He and Mom were there at Travis Air Force Base outside of Sacramento in 1966 to welcome me back from overseas and drive me home to Long Beach in the De Soto.

 

And for our wedding.

 

 

Fifty years.  Our golden anniversary.

 

We enjoyed our fiftieth anniversary so much, such a milestone, we couldn’t imagine topping that, so we have continued to celebrate it every day since.  Today the is 1,460th daily anniversary of our fiftieth wedding anniversary (fifty-four years).

 

Morning coffee on the deck, inside if it’s too cool outside (not lately), a daily salute.  Happy anniversary.  Staying golden.
