It gets better when they get home.

We’re still three thousand miles from Fairbanks and it’s snowing already!

Judy and I have been to REI to pick up some cold weather gear.  There isn’t much of that available in South Texas, so we waited until Colorado to get it.  The weather cooperated to make that seem like a good idea; it was in the thirties with drizzle all day, turning to snow.  More snow tonight and major accumulation in the mountains.

Long pants!  It’s a cool day in Colorado and I thought it would be a good idea to see if I actually could wear long pants.  It was a challenge, but I made it through the entire day.  I still hope that there aren’t that many cold days in Alaska though…
