 We made it to our destination this trip; Matt and Lindsay’s house! 2018 Arizona Trip Map We’re at The Motorcoach Resort.  This is the place right next to the freeway.  It has an odd layout for an RV Park: This is the actual aerial view. All sorts of sites at odd angles.  Walkways connecting every site.  We’re told this used to be a sales lot for high end motorcoaches.  When the dealer closed, they converted the space to an RV Park.   Got the bird feeders up in a palo verde tree. We’re here to visit with Matt, Lindsay, and kids (and Zoey the golden retriever). It turns out Matt’s not here.  He’s in Colorado for work the rest of the week (but we have talked to him on the phone)!

We don’t all think alike

 I think Trump is an intentionally ignorant self-indulgent blowhard, with the social skills of a maladjusted middle schooler; the nightmare of every normal kid; the mean girl.  We have friends who voted for Trump. We have friends who link us to conservative web sites that complain about the protesting Stoneman Douglas High School students in Florida, saying that they are too immature to know what they are talking about and should Shut Up.  We think if these kids are old enough to be hunted and killed with assault weapons, they’re probably old enough to have an opinion.  We feel the students are right to protest, to say No More Thoughts and Prayers, If You’re Not With Us You’re Against Us, to call B.S., to hold accountable the adults who should be keeping them safe, to chant Vote Them Out, to shame the politicians and the rest of the country for what they are not doing. We don’t want the pressure to let up until changes are made.  We, Judy and I, are in total support of those demonstrating Florida students, and demonstrating students nationwide.  We have arranged to be in Tucson on March 24th to attend March For Our Lives – Tucson, and show our support.  Meanwhile, we are now at Catalina State Park. 2018 Arizona Trip Map Another nice site. Another nice view. A roadrunner charging back and forth through our campsite to catch our attention.  We’re surrounded by ground squirrels commanding Henry’s attention.   It’s still dry here, but not as painfully dry as it was the last couple days in New Mexico.

Rusty’s RV Ranch

 We got the spot with the duck-pond view. With wood ducks and mandarin ducks.   And mister swan. And mom swan on an egg. I want a solar array like this in my back yard too. And this is the place where telescopes come out at night.   It’s very dark here. Until this happens.
