Mirage

 

Way out at the end, it looks like the road turns to water.

 

It’s not really water though.  It’s just an optical illusion; perception being distorted by a thin layer of hot air just above the road surface.

 

When we get closer.  It becomes obvious that….. 

 

It’s all water!
