We stopped by Mom’s old house on Grant Street.
The front porch looks familiar.
The whole left side tower and entire second floor are new though.
We spent many hours in that little house when it was still little.
The great elk attack of 2018. I wrote about it here.

An angry momma elk seeking to punish me for invading her space, me thinking I was okay because I was just walking along a paved public path in Estes Park. This summer, on our trip to Colorado, we revisited Estes Park and walked that trail again.
Same warning sign.
Same spot along the trail.
No elk. A much less-stressful walk this time.
Arrived in time for a volleyball game.
That’s Arie on the right side of this photo.
She’s not the biggest player on the team.
Matt and Lindsay already had dinner plans with friends so from their house we migrated to Steve and Lori’s. Steve and Lori, Lindsay’s parents, have a guest casita we can stay in. Judy made grungy tacos for the four of us for dinner then Judy and I settled in to the casita.
