All packed up

Cleaned up, fixed up, and put away. Shuffle stuff back and forth to the small shed in town. This house hasn’t moved lately. Test all systems to make sure the engine starts, and the suspension, slides, jacks, and steps go in and out, up and down, as appropriate. Test all the tow gear; make sure all the connections still connect. Stock the fridge and pantry. There is a lot of stuff to do. Judy does most of it.

Tomorrow morning, a final wash by Miguel at 8am to get the salt off, and we’re off for about 250 miles. Buckhorn Lake RV Resort. Kerrville, Texas.

Before we go
One last turtle feed.

Travel plans

Judy and I are actually talking about considering discussing leaving for the rest of the summer.  Blue sky sunny, it’s 90 degrees and humid every day.  Hot but comfortable outside in the shade and the breeze.  It’s too hot to do much in the sun for very long (comfortably).  We haven’t had shoes on for months, so our feet are toughened, but still the sand on the beach is too hot to walk on barefoot (until you get to the wet sand).  We enjoy waking up to 80 degrees to go outside and sit in the warm shade for morning coffee.  The door to the coach stays closed.  The air conditioners run day and night.  Hot and sweaty outside.  Cool and dry inside.   If we wait to leave until we’re tired of it here, we’ll never leave.  Time to go visit kids and grandkids.
