Limpkins.

We don’t usually see Limpkins in the U.S.

Normally we have to go to Florida to find them.

There are plenty of them on the West Coast of Mexico though.

Enjoying some southern catfish!

Falcon and Salineno are right on the river.

We got entertained by a reddish egret.

And a javelina.

He looked a little cranky.

Here’s a cool little bird.

Don’t get these north of the border!

We get a nice long visit with them.  They’ll be here for about 10 days, then they’ll be out on South Padre Island for another couple weeks.  SPI is an easy reach from here too.
