It does have a waterfall.
Not much this time of year, but charming.

The van gets us where we want to be in style and comfort, and today we want to be at McKinney Falls State Park.
The replacement we got for the couch/bed is perfect.
My workspace needed an upgrade, so we got a new collapsible adjustable table, and StarLink to keep us out of dead zones. Both are working super! StarLink is a huge upgrade to our capability.
There have been a lot of improvements along the way since we started the mobile practice before there was an infrastructure to support it. We were stopping at Kinko’s Office Supply stores to mail paper files back and forth with the Denver Office.
A little more camping.
Goliad State Park.
Oak and Sycamore in the yard.
Test driving the new StarLink setup.
There is nothing involved with setting it up. Plug it in to the post. Lay it on the ground pointed north. (It’s that little white plastic square on the ground.) It’s blazing fast. I think it broadcasts for a couple hundred feet, so it doesn’t matter if it needs to be farther away from the van to get a good view of the sky. Password protected. Everybody else can see the signal, but only we get to use it.
Walking trails along the San Antonio River.
And a take-out for the paddling trail.
Makes me think it would be fun to paddle again.
I don’t think we want to carry boats on top of the car anymore though.
Bring it in a little with the long lens and brighten it up.
A Lincoln’s Sparrow!
It’s not an uncommon bird. All across Canada and Alaska in the summer. All across the U.S. south and Mexico in the winter. Passes through everywhere in-between during migration.
Adding character to a woodsy trail.
Simple yet effective. Everything it needs to be to do the job, and a benefit to many.
A Boy Scout Project.
We did some fun things when I was a Boy Scout, but I don’t remember doing anything this meaningful.
