Barely ankle deep.

In the house, oddly enough…

Big head.  Sticky feet, so he can walk on walls and ceilings.  It was hard to get him picked up.  Had to chase him all over the floor.  Once I got him onto my hand though, he was quite comfortable, and in no hurry to give it up.

This is the day.  7 years ago.  We thought we were leaving Colorado after a visit with our kids there, but I ended up in the hospital getting open heart bypass surgery instead.  A fortunate moment in medical time.  I got the help that was not available to our father’s generation.

A quiet celebration for Judy and me, cherishing our time together.

…is saguaro cactus blooming season.

June is fruit harvest season.  It takes a long stick.  When the fruits turn red and start to open, knock them down from the top of the cactus.  Scoop out the pulp to eat or make it into jam or jelly.
