Stilt Sandpipers

In the winter, from a distance, they can be difficult to tell from Dowitchers.  They both occupy the same nich.  They feed together in the same habitat.  With Stilt Sandpipers and Long-billed Dowitchers both in their winter plumage, they’re almost the same shade of gray. As spring progresses though, the Dowitchers take on a more reddish, colorful, look.  The Silt Sandpipers stand out.

We’re going to need a new story

All these years we’ve been talking about living on the road.  Life on the beach.  Our travel card looks like this It’s a picture of our bus parked at Gulf Waters.  But now, no Port Aransas lot; we sold it.  The bus is up for sale. I’m not really much of an accountant anymore either.  I do some client promotion, strategic, and administrative work, but I’m semi-retired now; officially half-time.  There are plans to work even less next year. Yeah.  We definitely need a new story.
