Pauraque follow-up

There were two Pauraques in that picture (that I’m aware of). Close-ups.    …and it’s not like we had to go far for our football picnic in the coach.  It’s parked just down the row from us, less than 100 yards from our house in a site with full hookups. Yeaa Broncos!  They got past the Ravens.

We’re not at the beach

We’re through bouncing back and forth this year.  A few days ago we drove the coach to Sandpipers, moved back into our house, and put the coach in storage.  We’ll spend the winter here and put our lot at Gulf Waters back in the rental pool until spring. In the meantime, the Sunday Bronco game isn’t on any of the channels here in the Valley.  It is, however on one of our distant channels in the motorhome.  We get the Broncos/Ravens game on the New York channel!  So, Sunday afternoon we’ll be camped out in the coach watching the 10-3 Broncos play the 9-4 Ravens in Baltimore.  Both teams playoff bound.  It should be a good game.  We hope it’s especially good for our team. Go Broncos!

Hawks

Sometimes they look so solid. With a change in lighting they can look more translucent.   And another time, they can look positively diaphanous. … on gossamer wings.

I do the heavy lifting

Judy buys stuff.  I carry it. She came home with something really heavy.  She got help from the store loading it in the car.  She suggested I get someone to help me get it in the house.  Yeah.  Right. I was careful with it.  I tipped the case up on its end in the back of the Jeep, got down low and rocked it up onto my shoulder.  I staggered up the stairs with it and put it inside. Judy asked how much I thought the box weighed.  I volunteered that it probably only weighed twenty pounds, knowing that she would be impressed when she eventually found out how much it really weighed.  It was disappointing a little later though when I peeked at the weight stamped on the outside and saw that it really did only weigh twenty pounds! Reality sucks. I do the heavy lifting, but now only if it’s not really heavy.
