It was a little cool when we left Phoenix. We headed south and east past Casa Grande, Picacho Peak, and Rooster Cogburn’s Ostrich Ranch. Illuminated highway signs in Tucson warned us that there had been rain and as a result the roads might be wet.
The Texas Canyon Rest Stop was showing signs of winter weather.
