A black bellied whistling duck day. Small flocks flying back and forth overhead this morning. A flock of four circled and landed across the pond from us.
Warm nights. Furnaces off. Windows open. Good sleeping weather. Don’t need the air conditioning yet.
Bonaparte’s Gulls bobbing around next to the south jetty.

They kind of look like phalaropes when they swim. Phalarope gulls.
