Steve and Judy's Travels!

  And they’re not mine!   One from Matt:   “I don’t know why but this just popped into my head. We have spent most of the last year, each at the age of the others birth year.“  (My note, Matt is/was 45, born in 1972.)   One from McKee:   “What you have here is an old race car trailer.  The guy made a small fortune in racing.  One does that by starting with a large fortune.  Then you park/junk/sell the race car and go low budget RVing.  But with a back porch.” D   We’re at George West, Texas.  We’re in an oilfield and refinery worker’s park.  We didn’t go very far, we’re still being careful with me and holding down the miles per day.  A short day tomorrow and we’ll be home.   2018 May Colorado Trip   I’d go outside and take a picture of the site, but it’s a hundred degrees out there!  I’m staying inside with the air conditioning running.   I know.  I’ll wait until dark, then go outside for the picture…

  We’ve already covered the entire southern border from Louisiana down the gulf coast, along Mexico to New Mexico.  We’ve drawn a line straight up through Dallas to Oklahoma, and now a solid line all the way down the panhandle from Amarillo.  The more we divide Texas up into pieces, the more it looks like it might be possible to visit all the counties.  Eventually.   We’re in Fredericksburg for a couple days.   2018 May Colorado Trip     Another very nice KOA.  

  Buy an enclosed utility trailer.  Install a wall with a door and windows just inside the fold down ramp in the back.  Put an air conditioner on the roof, and there you have it.  An RV with a back porch!     We’re in San Angelo.   2018 May Colorado Trip   Another nice KOA Campground.   (Most KOA campgrounds are nice.  The one in Lubbock not so much.)    

  It’s a neat little goose.     It looks like a Canada Goose but it’s smaller and has a stubbier face.  Here it is in the same frame as a Canada Goose.   The Cackling Goose is not common in the lower latitudes.  Except in Lubbock apparently.  Who knew the Cackling Goose was a year-round resident in Lubbock city parks!   2018 May Colorado Trip     Here’s a thing.     And another thing.
